The Espro Acoustiguide Group, in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard, has launched MyCollection, a new service whereby museum visitors can create their own personal catalogues and individual posters on demand.
As a person moves around the different galleries, they can use their hand-held audio guide to choose their favourite paintings and exhibits and - after selecting a preferred format - receive a print out of a customised product at the end of their visit.
The products are available in a variety of sizes and use mediums such as photographic paper, canvas and even silk.
Vienna's Kunsthistorisches Museum, venue for the launch, is the first site in the world to offer the service to visitors, who can choose from over 100 works including those by Vermeer, Rubens, Raphael, Durer and Titian.
Two further museums, in Barcelona and Jerusalem, will be launching the MyCollection service later this year.
